Home Health Aides
There is a way...A home health aide can help you when you or your family are faced with problems caring for someone due to illness, disability, or advancing years. Home Health aides provide compassionate care in your home when you or someone close to you needs assistance. They are available 7 days a week.
The Berlin Visiting Nurse Association Home Health Aides (HHA'S) assist patients with their "activities of daily living" (ADL) at a time when the patients abilities may be limited by illness or injury. The Home Health Aides work under the supervision and direction of the patient's nurse. Without these types of services, frail elderly or disabled people, might not be able to remain independent at home.
Services May Include
- Provides or assist with personal care and bathing.
- Assist in exercise with instruction from the case manager or Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Therapist exercise programs.
- Assist with ambulation and mobility
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
Quality Is Our Concern
All home health aides are trained and supervised on an ongoing basis. Supervisors are available anytime they are in your home. Home heath aides are assigned under doctor's orders and closely directed by our professional staff.
