Kate has been the Town Clerk in Berlin since January 2002.
Graduated from Lasell Junior College, Boston, MA; Albertus Magnus, New Haven, CT and The Institute for Paralegal Training, Philadelphia, PA.
Member of the Connecticut Town Clerks' Association (CTCA); New England Association of City and Town Clerks (NEACTC); and International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).
Earned the designation of Certified Connecticut Town Clerk in 1992; Certified Municipal Clerk from IIMC in 1993; Master Municipal Clerk from IIMC in 2008; Master Connecticut Town Clerk in 2012.
Graduated from the New England Municipal Clerks' Institute and Academy in 1995.
Served as New England Municipal Clerks' Institute and Academy Board Member from 2002 to 2005 and as Chair 2005 to 2006.
Served on the Executive Board of NEACTC from 2005 to 2010 and as President from 2010 to 2011
Served as the Co-Chair for the Annual IIMC Conference held in Hartford, CT in 2015.
Has served on numerous boards and commissions for CTCA.
Currently serves as NEACTC Treasurer.
Named Connecticut "Town Clerk of the Year" in 2007. Awarded the "Above and Beyond" award by CTCA in both 2009 and 2015. Awarded the "Special Award of Merit" during the IIMC Annual Conference in 2015.
