The Berlin Police Department is committed to a community policing philosophy. To make this partnership a success we need your help. If you have information concerning criminal activity it is of the utmost importance that you share it with us. You can submit information anonymously, but we prefer that you supply some contact information in the event that our investigators have additional questions.
DO NOT SUBMIT INFORMATION BY WAY OF THE WEBSITE IF:
* You are having an emergency right now: Call 9-1-1 immediately!
* You are reporting a crime in progress: Call 9-1-1 immediately!
* You think you know who committed the crime: Call 9-1-1 immediately!
* It is not an emergency, but you need the assistance of a police officer: Call our routine line (860) 828-7080 and an officer will be dispatched.
* If the incident did not occur in the Town of Berlin: Contact the police department in the jurisdiction where it occurred.
* You are reporting suspicious activity possibly related to terrorism. Call 911 immediately or the Connecticut Homeland Security tip line at 1 (866) 457-8477
EXAMPLES OF INFORMATION WE'D LIKE YOU TO REPORT:
* Information concerning drug activity
* Information concerning underage drinking
* Information concerning stolen property
* Information concerning a burglary or robbery
* Information concerning an assault
* Information concerning vandalism or graffiti
It is a crime to make a false police report. If you are found to have submitted false information via the Berlin Police Department website, you will be subject to criminal arrest for the crime of Falsely Reporting an incident - Sections 53a-180, 53a-180a, 53a-180b, 53a-180c of the Connecticut General Statutes.
